Exterior Pictures

So now you can see all of the textures we have going on on the house, except the stone. We are waiting for it to get a little warmer to do that. Unless they wrap it like they did for the stucco. You can also see all of the fun sets of windows. We only have 40 windows on the house. But 27 of them are small windows grouped together. We really like the way its turning out. It is funny though, because the base color of the shakes and board and batten match the trim so well, people are going to be quite shocked when they get painted. And something that made me laugh, everyone around town keeps asking our builder when they are putting in the door for us to be able to get out on our deck. Ya, I never even thought it looked like a deck. It's just a roof over our porch. Silly people.

Stairs and stuff

We have our real stairs in now, they are much better than the thin ones that you can see straight down to the basement!
They are getting started on the railing. That will take a while. And you can see half of our front doors. They have them covered in cardboard to keep them safe in the construction.

Trim is going up!

So here you can see our floor boards and the trim around our bathroom door and the shelves that just got put in our bathroom. We get excited about each little step.

Little by little it's coming along

You can see the stucco a little better here. And they have all of our doors hung, inside and out! And they are working on the trim as you can see on the inside door and window.

Stucco Done!!!

The stucco is done and if you look at the center front of the house you can see that they are starting the siding! Fun, fun!

Sheetrock!!!

So in 2 days this week they hung all of the sheetrock. It stall has to be taped and mudded but it is up! It is pretty cool to see that step done. Now it is really looking like a house inside. They had guys there today getting set up to do stucco next week. So that will be pretty stinking cool too. They can't do the stone for a while because we have to wait for the front doors to come first.

Deer eating the yard!

So we have had deer in the yard for the last couple days eating all of my in-laws plants and trees. They say that there are about 40 deer living here in town. It is crazy, if you drive more than 2 blocks you will usually see at least 7 deer. And you can't do much to get them out of your yard, because they aren't scared of humans, or dogs for the most part for that matter.
