Railing is Finished!!!!!

We have been waiting for our railing to get finished for a while now. We love the way it turned out. Our builder came up with a cool hand rail for the top. We didn't want anything too traditional and he hit it right on the head with his idea. It was so fun to see it installed when we went to the house today.

The back yard

Ya, this is the back yard, and Gavin thinking of having to do the yard! No really, this is what I get when I leave Gavin alone with camera for a minute. It's been a while since I've found random pictures of him on my camera, he used to do it all of the time.

Stripes!

I love my stripes. They took me few hours to draw on the wall and tape off, but it was well worth it to me. I think it adds a little more of a modern flare to the house. It's on the back wall of the mud room. I love seeing it when I come down the stairs! And I thought it was funny, a couple weeks after we got it painted I was watching "What not to Wear" and they have a similar wall in their studio, it is just done out of shades of tan.

The Barn Door

See our house really is a barn. It may have only looked like it on the outside for a while, but we've got the door inside to keep it with us forever. Maybe when I ask my kids someday if they were raised in barn they will say "Of course I was!"

Fun Bathroom Stuff

We got toilets!!! They may not be the most exciting thing in a house, but I am sure glad that we have them. This item makes the house feel a lot more done. I am however very excited for our different faucets. I think they are fun. And ya, we can't be normal with anything.

Master Bath

We were excited to see these lights go in as well. We are going for a slight spa feel in our bathroom and I think that these lights and these mirrors will help with that.

Here are some of our newbies!

Ok, so here we have some of my favorite lights! They're our bubbles. They are super fun. But as you can see they are in the way of one of the cabinets. We had a couple of different options for this dilemma. We chose to remove the door and do some fun open cabinet designs. So we went and bought some fun green kitchen supplies to fill that cabinet. I think it is going to be pretty fun! I also through in a view from above the kitchen. I think its fun that we have an island and a bar, no one really does that. I'm excited for all of the counter space when I'm cooking and stuff!

Light Example.

So the one light you see below that is all taped up in blue tape looks odd right now. So I thought I would show you what it will look like. The gray one will be in our front room and the white one will be above our table in the dinning room. Pretty exciting.

Yay Cabinets!

We have been waiting for this step for soooo long! Now we can finally see what our kitchen will look like!

Lights!

Most of the lights are in! It's pretty exciting. I can't wait for them to be able to turn on.

Fireplace!!!

Our fire place is in!!! I love it!!!!! It's one of my favorite features in the house!

Tile

We are super excited about our tile. It is actually all in now, but here are pictures from last week. Our entry way tile looks like wood.

More Pictures of the Railing

I really like it! There is still a piece of wood that goes at the top of the railing for a hand rail. That is made but not installed yet. It is working out just as we imagined it. They are doing such a good job with this house! We are really grateful and impressed.
